One woman I ain’t hearing of for months in a row now. The other disappears, only to resurface in some remote place in Italy, having made new ties to one of the roses. Used to be times I kept telling her to call on me in times of need. I’d call it a very dark night when she decides her best chances are with an artist instead of the likes of me.<\/p>\n
Ain’t blaming her though. Can’t say I’ve got much political pull to show for myself. My guess is that’d be what she’s in need of these nights. So I find other ways to keep myself occupied.<\/p>\n
Like taking a crazy person from one place to another. Granted, she was pleasant enough. And smart enough to listen to what I had to say concerning her safety during our travels. Plus she kept herself from asking too many pesky questions. I ain’t asking how much she’s been wandering about in that head of mine. Can’t be helped either way. Besides, there ain’t that many secrets I keep, so be my guest.<\/p>\n
Local prince has told me to stick around till I hear from her. So that’s what I do. Waiting around ain’t exactly my strongest suit, but it’ll do if it means getting attention from the right people. I swear to god though, if this is another Ventrue not sticking to their bargains, this time I’ll have blood for it. Not in the metaphorical sense of the phrase. Blood. With heads rolling.
