Crashing, Burning

My dear Nathaniel,

No drugs. This time. No medication. This time. Not even anything risky or a girl involved, except for Diana, who has been cleared of any allegations I could have held against her by Edward.
It was interesting to see your other friend show up. Daring of him to try and escape creatures that would literally have him for dinner. Still he is here. Still trying to save his hide. Hardly yours, son, you must surely know. Let alone hers.
And your precious? Off to Germany again, leaving you here. I know that she says that she loves you. You, on the other hand, might think that you, too, love her. But during all those years, you have been fooling yourself and her. Thinking that you can love. Are you not incapable of such emotion? I remember you telling me so over and over again. Whenever I cam up with another girl for you.
Now the supernatural has entered your life. Though your wish might be to protect your fiancée, we both know that you will not be able to do this. Genius or not, there is no way you can get out of this one without being scarred. This you must be aware of as well.
Yet, for now, dream on, my precious boy. I will not stop you. For now.
