Dearest Lady Amundeville,
My beloved Adeline. There are more news to report to You now, since I have successfully reentered societey here. I shall make haste though. There is much I need to turn my attention to these nights.
Lady Caroline saw it in her to entrust me with initiating a new guest to the City of Acheron. For the time being I shall refer to him as Sir Karl. He has an interesting outlook on politics and I may say for myself that I am looking forward to many a discussion with him. He is, however, very young. And I am certain that his lack of age brings with it the corresponding folly. His blood might still know a certain drive that might not become him well around here. Also, one must make sure that his ambition is kept under control. Should he stick to the ideals I sense within him though, there will not be a problem. He will never question the chain of command and blood. I will see to it.
There is a new dog in the kennel now. Though I asure You that Leandro still works to my satisfaction chance would have it that I stumble upon this young pub. A fierce and clever young thing. Very keen. Though there is no real pedigree to speak of. There is no doubt in my heart that Perrito will grow to be a very fine specimen.
My Love, forgive that I must part with You, even in written words, so soon. Promise You will write to me. I ask You not to test my patience.
