Sunrise

In her wisdom and grace Ithil has granted me the wish to return to the Land of wasted Waters. Though I long to be with her I also long to see daylight again once more, if only for a little while. Furthermore I will once more attempt to find Sandwind, though my chances of finding her are little to none. I must keep trying. Despite her renouncing the blood that once bound us together I still feel obliged to.

She also advised me to write more. As preparation for the things to come. I still think it to be a waste of water, yet I heed her command. Though I find it hard to come up with enough words to fill a page. Every word makes me hesitate.

Already I have met with the new water of the house of Valdoran. He is diligent, yet not very clever. For some reason he thinks that his guards could protect him of one such as myself. And I agree that they could, had they a chance of knowing that I meant their master any harm. As long as they do not anticipate this, he is an easy prey, just as the rest of the men of wasted waters.

More importantly I have seen Anor again. He, who seemed genuinly pleased to see me as well. I have missed his warmth, though I have never really touched him in affection. His eyes have become darker still, resembling the deep waters of the lands which my mistress holds dominion over. And at no time have I seen she who is lost in his presence. Patience… I dare not hope she is gone just yet.

Soon I will send the first of many letters to Ithil. To inform her about the water of her family. Up to now she has not been fortunate as she has been. I cannot deny pride over this. Perhaps it will make her smile as well.
