Dearest Lady Amundeville,
It has not been long since my servants and I had to leave You. Yet, despite our age, it already seems an eternity to me. Having to leave still pains me. I wish we would not have to part.
And yet I know that it is for the better. Acheron’s Pride and its blessed mysteries await, and I am greatly looking forward to being able to report their solutions. My sincere hope is that doing so will please You, maybe if You can see them as another form of art.
Perrito is still learning. But I do put my hopes in him, strange as his ways may be. Hopefully he has not irritated You too much. Maybe You can come see us some time.
And now for the Lady. For the others. And for all the small things we would rather not spend out time with. I shall be thinking of You.
