Turbulent Times

Dearest Lady Amundeville,

As You may tell from this letter we have made it back to the shores of Acheron. And already I have had word from Lady Caroline, an answer to the message I sent her concerning that small trinket I had with me last time we spoke. Naturally she was displeased about being informed with so much of a delay.

She saw it fit to have me try and solve a few mysteries around here. I have called upon Perrito for any information he might gather among his mortal kin. Sir Karl will do likewise amgonst the Clan of the Hidden. And the Preacherbeast likely has his own means to uncover anything. All three of them are due to report soon. I shall be interested in hearing what they have to say.

Still, there is one piece missing in that small puzzle, one other person I must consult in the matter. My personal lady of misfortune, Lady Hera. In all honesty I do not look forward to meeting her again much. She likely keeps grudges and I myself cannot claim to be any better in this than her. Yet perhaps I worry myself too much.

However, my love, I bid You not to worry about me, alarming as this may sound. You will hear from me again soon. Come by here any time You wish. I am certain the city holds opportinities and distraction a plenty for You as well.

In neverending devotion,
– Don Santiago de Compostella –
