Dancing Partners

Certainly a night to remember. And refreshingly Jean-free, as much as I hate to say it.

Jason is still on very thin ice. It’s in almost every word the rest of the domain says. They’re waiting to watch him fall. For now I can keep him where he is. But he has to get his act back together again. Otherwise he will fall. I will have no choice but to let him. However, if one falls in a controlled way, then he can be caught and make a formidable come-back. So I told him about my plans concerning primogen, sheriff and the like. He agreed to dance. So let’s tango, brother.

Interesting thoughts the prince has there. I will try and get my hands on anything within reach? Damn well I will try to. Because I know nobody else can do better at it than I can. I see no fault in that. She’s got people watching me. I say: Watch me all you want. My motivation and ambition is not much of a secret to anyone. She did rat me out to Pearse. Damn those people with their twisted sense for morale. Pearse, of course, is unfit to make the leap from “Nate sold me out” to “guess who told him” and “guess who never hurts people on his own but rather has others do it for him instead”. Just like the Gangrel. Important information to keep in mind.

One of these nights I will break free. For now the thought of hurting him sickens me. Yet, I know myself better than anyone. Once I regain my emotional freedom, my mind will be sharp as ever. And I will want to draw blood.

Especially since he decided to go behind my back again. Yet again with all those nice words and white lies. This time I will stop him dead in his tracks. You think you have to protect me? Good. Then protect me from yourself. Because I will throw myself against Shield and Sword until they lash out – and thereby force you either to resign, or to take them apart. Either is fine for me.

I love him. But there is anger in me and that anger wants me to be free so I can start cutting down to the bone. A little patience. I will be free…
